Yuvraj Singh made himself available for the three games for Punjab in the ongoing Ranji Trophy season, but once he got picked by Mumbai Indians for his base price of Rs 1 Cr during the IPL 2019 Auction, he decided to skip the tie against Hyderabad. Just a day before the auctions, Yuvraj Singh scored 41 runs and also chipped in with the ball where he picked up a couple of wickets against Tamil Nadu. Yuvraj represents Punjab in the Ranji Trophy and it was a crucial tie for his side but he decided to celebrate Christmas in Budapest, Hungary with family and friends. This gesture by the veteran cricketer has not gone down well with the southpaw’s fans who lashed out at the cricketer on Twitterverse.

There were talks that Yuvraj could go unsold, but it seems his knock a day caught the eye of the Mumbai Indians who looked more than happy to gamble on the old warhorse. Yuvi managed to muster merely 78 runs at a paltry average of 19.50 with 41 being his best score just before the auction.
