Despite his absence from the national side, veteran stalwart Yuvraj Singh continues to remain a crowd-puller and one of the biggest stars of Indian cricket. Known for his fierce-hitting abilities, Yuvraj was a pleasure to watch on the field. Now, just imagine Yuvi imitating Dhoni, wouldn’t that send fans in a tizzy? It sure will. Mumbai Indians new recruit Yuvraj was spotted trying to pull off the helicopter shot during an MI net session. The helicopter shot is an MS Dhoni signature shot. The former India skipper was the one to invent it, now it seems like every second batsman wants to have the shot in their repertoire.

Here is the video where Yuvi attempts a helicopter shot ahead of the IPL 2019 season. In the video, you can see Yuvi times the ball well and then that finish of the at is truly delectable.

Yuvraj  is at the twilight of his career and after going unsold initially during the auctions, he was finally picked up by MI at his Rs 1 Cr base price. It will be the southpaws first season at the franchise and he would like to make the most of it. The celebrated cricketer had a woeful 2018, where he amassed a mere 65 runs in 8 games at a paltry average hovering around 11 and an all-time low IPL career strike rate of 89. He would certainly look to improve on that.

Yuvraj is not a part of the current Indian team, he would look to impress and knock on the doors of selection. But, by the looks of it, it seems he is not in the running for making it to the World Cup squad. n the other hand, MS Dhoni would be leading Chennai Super King’s title defense in the upcoming season of IPL.
