Known for enjoying a wicket like there’s no tomorrow, Pakistan pacer Hasan Ali came up with a brilliant alternative to celebrate his wicket during the fifth and final ODI against Zimbabwe at the Queens Sports Club, Bulawayo on Sunday. After picking up the wicket of Zimbabwean captain Hamilton Masakadza, the Pakistan bowling spearhead called his teammate Shadab Khan to perform his signature celebratory move. Also Read - Pakistan Spinner Shadab Khan Joins Sydney Sixers in Big Bash League

After hurting himself during the fourth ODI, all eyes were on the 24-year old pacer of how he is going to celebrate his wickets in the last one day international against Zimbabwe. Ali was seen in serious pain and needed medical assistance after performing his trademark move during the fourth ODI. Apparently, he had pulled up a muscle in his neck whilst trying to do the same.
However, in the 5th ODI, Ali took care of that with a unique idea to celebrate hosts’ skipper Masakadza’s wicket. He bowled a brilliant delivery angled in a good length ball that pitched on middle and straightened a tad after pitching. Masakadza thought he had the line covered. But the white ball had other ideas as it beat the outside edge of the batsman by a whisker and crashed into off and middle.
CELEBRATION GONE WRONG:
As soon as he picked up the wicket, the pacer called Shadab to do the move, who brilliantly performed his celebratory action standing next to him. Ali’s signature celebration is very popular among the cricket fans and is known as the ‘bomb explosion’ move in the cricketing world.
The right-arm fast bowler is a vital cog in the Pakistan bowling attack, he has taken 68 wickets from 33 matches at a phenomenal average of 20.88 in his short international career.
The green shirts completed the series whitewash against Zimbabwe in the recently-concluded five-match ODI rubber on Sunday. The hosts lost the fifth and by 131 runs. Fakhar Zaman was adjudged as the Player of the series for his record-breaking stints in the series while Babar Azam was awarded the Man of the Match.
