Minor Girl Raped In Chennai: A shocking incident has emerged from Chennai where a 15-year-old schoolgirl was raped and a woman was also involved in the heinous crime. The girl was raped by two men who spiked her drink with the help of a woman at a birthday party in Saligramam last month. The victim’s family knew about the crime when the minor girl suffered abdominal pain and told her sister about it. The girl’s family reached the police station and lodged a complaint. Acting on the victim’s family complaint, cops arrested a woman named Pratisha Akira and her friend named Somesh, a college student. According to police, Akira is a junior artist in films.

Minor Girl Raped: Cops Are Searching For The Third Accused

Cops are now in search of the other accused, identified as Williams. According to police, the girl, who is in Class 11, befriended Pratisha at a coffee shop in Anna Nagar. Last month, the accused woman invited the victim to her apartment to celebrate her birthday. During the party, Akira, Somesh and Williams spiked the girl’s drink and both the accused then raped her when she fell unconscious. When the girl woke up in the morning she realised she was raped. Cops stated that the woman threatened her to not to tell anyone about the incident.

Minor Girl Raped: She Was Threatened

Pratisha warned the young girl about the possibility of her friends inflicting harm if she decided to involve the police. The girl kept silent initially, yet later she felt safe enough to express the incident to her older sister when she started experiencing stomach pains later that week. Consequently, she was rushed to the hospital for medical attention. Her family took the necessary steps thereafter and filed a formal complaint with the police.
The local Virugambakkam All Women Police Station took up the case and launched an inquiry. Confirmation of the assault led to Pratisha and Somesh being taken into police custody for questioning. Meanwhile, the police are making efforts to locate Williams.
