MacBook Pro and iMac Could Launch Soon: Known for its world-class iPhones, laptops, and tablets, the American technology company Apple is expected to introduce a new iMac computer by the end of this month, according to reliable sources from Bloomberg. An upgraded version of the 24-inch iMac may finally be unveiled after a substantial delay since the last release in 2021. The tech giant is also expected to announce two new models of the MacBook Pro, with the event likely to be scheduled for October 30 or 31, as stated in the report.
As per the report, the information is based on insights from sources within Apple who are privy to the company’s plans. It is worth noting that several Mac models, including the 24-inch iMac and all MacBook Pro models, are currently facing shipping delays that stretch into mid-November. According to Bloomberg, this delay is a strong indicator of an imminent announcement.
Another insights which are fuelling the speculation is Apple’s upcoming earnings call set for November 2. In the past, the tech giant has traditionally scheduled November earnings calls in years when October featured product launch events. This has raised anticipation of a fresh addition to Apple’s product lineup, with a new 24-inch iMac rumoured to be introduced soon. The current iMac model has remained without an update for more than 900 days and is the final Mac in Apple’s lineup still running on the M1 chip.
New 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models are reportedly set to make their debut, even though they were most recently updated in January 2023. While this might come as a surprise to some, Gurman hints that Apple may indeed have such plans.
Although specific information about the upcoming iMac refresh is limited, earlier leaks have indicated that this computer may feature an M3 chip, enhancing its performance and efficiency. As the days come closer to the upcoming week, Apple enthusiasts are anxiously awaiting official confirmation of these exciting developments.
If these Apple gadgets are officially announced, they are unlikely to come with a low price tag, as they are considered premium products from the company. For example, the current 24-inch Apple iMac is available in India with starting price of Rs 1,29,900. The 14-inch MacBook Pro with an M2 Pro processor is currently priced Rs 2,49,900, while the 16-inch version with an M2 MAX chip carries a price tag of Rs 3,09,900 on the Apple Store.
Apple is currently offering mega discounts on these products as part of its Diwali celebrations. There is a Rs 10,000 discount available on the MacBook Pro models and a Rs 5,000 discount on the aforementioned iMac. Keep in mind that these discounts are applicable when using HDFC bank credit cards.
