Nikon Unveils the NIKKOR Z 28-135mm f/4 PZ Lens for Professional Videographers

Nikon has introduced the NIKKOR Z 28-135mm f/4 PZ standard zoom lens for its Z mount system, designed for full-frame/FX-format mirrorless cameras.

New Delhi: Nikon India Pvt. Ltd. has introduced the NIKKOR Z 28-135mm f/4 PZ lens, a versatile zoom lens designed for full-frame/FX-format mirrorless cameras with the Nikon Z mount. Announced on October 30, 2024, this lens targets videographers with features aimed at improving video content creation. It provides a broad focal length range of 28-135mm, offering flexibility for various types of shooting, including documentaries, weddings, and wildlife.

The NIKKOR Z 28-135mm f/4 PZ includes a power zoom system that ensures smooth zooming without changing the lens’s physical size. It allows users to select from 11 zoom speeds, enabling fine control over zooming for different creative styles. The lens minimizes focus shifts and changes in the center of gravity during zooming, ensuring stable footage even with frequent adjustments. It also supports a range of professional video accessories, including matte boxes and follow-focus systems.

This lens is equipped with features for high-resolution video capture, supporting 8K video and offering compatibility with various video accessories. It enables remote control of zooming through software on a computer, smartphone, or tablet. The NIKKOR Z 28-135mm f/4 PZ is designed with a rectangular lens hood with a filter adjustment window for easy access to circular polarizers and ND filters while the hood is attached. The lens is built to reduce flare and ghosting with Nikon’s Meso Amorphous Coat and offers quiet and fast autofocusing thanks to its stepping motor.

The lens also features an internal zoom mechanism that maintains camera balance, especially when using a gimbal. The NIKKOR Z 28-135mm f/4 PZ offers dust- and drip-resistance, ensuring durability in various shooting environments.
