Honda City ZX MT Petrol Variant Launched in India; Price Starting From Rs 12.75 Lakh

Honda launched City for the first time in India in January 1998. Since the launch, the company has sold over 7.5 lakh units of the sedan.

New Delhi: Honda Cars India has introduced a new variant of the mid-sized sedan City, which is priced at Rs 12.75 lakh in the ex-showroom Delhi. The new petrol grade variant ZX MT is powered by 1.5-litre petrol power-train that comes with manual transmission. The model has additional features including rear parking sensors. In a statement, Honda said that it has launched the new trim due to a huge demand from buyers for the top spec petrol variant in a manual transmission.

Honda is currently selling an automatic version of the sedan. The Senior Vice President and Director (Sales and Marketing) of Honda Cars India Ltd (HCIL), Rajesh Goel said in a statement, “We are delighted to introduce the new ZX variant of Honda City in petrol with manual transmission to complete the top spec ZX range and offer an increased choice for our customers. The addition of new colours and standard application of rear parking sensors will further strengthen the City offering in the market.” The two new colour options of the car are Radiant Red Metallic and Lunar Silver Metallic.

The new model is inclusive of six airbags, electric sunroof, automatic headlights and rain sensing wipers. Other features include LED headlamps with daytime running lights, taillights and trunk lid spoiler with LED illumination. Honda launched City for the first time in India in January 1998. Since the launch, the company has sold over 7.5 lakh units of the sedan. Some of the other variants of City petrol CVT are V, VX and ZX variants.
