Indian e-commerce giant Flipkart is known for hosting great deals and premium products at exclusive prices. Recently, the much talked-about deal on Flipkart is of Apple iPhone 6. The premium smartphone by Apple is available on the e-commerce portal for as low as Rs 9990 under an exchange offer. Apple iPhone 6 with 16 GB storage and space grey variant at a price as low as Rs 9990 is undoubtedly a steal deal, but that is not how it exactly works. For you don’t have scratch your head, we took the pain too and this is how you can get the deal if you are looking forward to own an iPhone 6, but only if you have never used and iPhone 6s Plus.
Apple iPhone 6 listed at a price of Rs 36,990 without any offers. However, Flipkart has already slashed the price to Rs 31,990, with a special price discount of Rs 5,000. Apart from the special discount, Flipkart is offering another additional discount of up to Rs 22,000 on exchange of another smartphone. Under this exchange offer, one gets iPhone 6 at price of Rs 10,040 in exchange of iPhone 6s Plus. If you exchange iPhone 6s Plus, you can get iPhone 6 added to your Flipkart cart and if you checkout to make payment with Axis Bank Buzz credit card, you would get additional 5 percent discount.
Now, why the deal at Rs 9990 is hopeless? If you are using iPhone 6s Plus which has better specs than iPhone 6 and 3D touch enabled, you would not like to downgrade your smartphone experience. Apple iPhone 6s Plus offers a A9 chipset, whereas Apple iPhone 6 offers its predecessor A8 chipset. It is very certain that Flipkart doesn’t monitor their exchange deals, as exchanging a newer and advanced phone for an older device is not feasible, until some exception occurs. One can own an iPhone 6 from Flipkart if they exchange their iPhone 5s with an exchange discount of Rs 7920. Also, most of the Android devices such as OnePlus 3, Google Nexus 6P and others offer a maximum exchange discount of upto Rs 11,000. Thus the deal is hopeless until and unless you exchange you fairly old budget smartphone and spend another Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000, to own premium iPhone 6 smartphone.
