Jio Phone 2 Flash Sale to Begin Shortly, New High-end Model to be Sold at Rs 2,999 Only

Reliance is providing the Jio Phone 2 plans priced at Rs. 49, Rs. 99, and Rs. 153.

New Delhi, Aug 16: The Jio Phone 2 flash sale will begin shortly. Reliance Jio aims to increase the user base of Jio Phone to nearly 100 million through this flash sale. The high-end model which has been priced at Rs. 2,999 only will be available for purchase on Jio.com from 12 pm onwards.

Jio Phone which has nearly 25 million user base in India is likely to swell up after the launch of the Jio Phone 2 flash sale. Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh D Ambani at the annual general meeting added, “With the added functionalities (apps and new Jio Phone), our wider network reach across India and strong retail presence across India, the goal that I have now set for our Jio team is to enable 100 million users on this Jiophone platform in the shortest possible time.”

The 4G handset has a QWERTY keyboard and runs Kai OS like the model which was released last year. It will also provide access to apps like Facebook, WhatsApp, YouTube, Google Maps in addition to existing Jio Apps like JioCinema, JioChat, JioMusic etc. Prospective buyers may note that after placing the order, the device will be shipped to them within 5-7 business days. Customers may also pick it up from a nearby authorised retailer.

Customers may also note that Reliance Jio offers the first version of Jio Phone against a refundable deposit of Rs 1,500 a unit but customers looking to buy Jio Phone 2 will have to pay the full amount.
