Lenovo has made one of their strongest devices of 2016, the Lenovo Z2 Plus, cheaper for budget and mid-range smartphone lovers. With the latest price cut the smartphone has received, it has gone straight from the mid-range segment to the budget segment. Lenovo Z2 Plus was launched in two variants – one 32 GB and one 64 GB and both the variants are now cheaper. However, the price slashed for both is not the same. Surprisingly, the cheaper, lesser memory version of Lenovo Z2 Plus with 32 GB has received a higher price cut and the more expensive version, Lenovo Z2 Plus 64 GB has received a lower price cut. Lenovo Z2 Plus launched as a e-commerce portal exclusive but now, Lenovo has opened doors for even offline retail stores and Lenovo Z2 Plus will be available across all retailers – brick and mortar as well as e-commerce.

Lenovo Z2 Plus was launched in late September last year and right after launch, the smartphone became quite a successful model, especially in the mid-range segment. Lenovo Z2 Plus was launched for Rs 17,999 for the lower end 32 GB version while the advanced 64 GB internal memory variant was then priced at Rs 19,999. After the latest discounts offered by Lenovo, Lenovo Z2 Plus will now be available for Rs 14,999 for the 32 GB version and Rs 17,499 for the 64 GB version (after a discount of Rs 2500 instead of Rs 3000 as in the 32 GB version). Apart from the price slash, there is no change in the model or any other details and the features and specifications of for the 64 GB version remain the same. The price slash has come right before the launch of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, which is also expected to be a budget device in the same segment.
