LG launched its last G series successor, G6 smartphone at the Mobile World Congress 2017, held in Barcelona. LG G6 has left smartphone enthusiasts amazed from the time it has launched, as the handset offers a bunch of ‘first ever’. LG G6 is reportedly scheduled to launch in the US in April this year. Evan Blass, a well known tipster made the claim on Friday.
Evan also shared an image, laying base to the claims. The image shared by the tipset has LG G6 in two color variants – Black and White. While the display in the image has the date set to Friday, April 7. Intersetingly, the date fits this years calendar as well. While LG has already been gearing up to launch the 2017 flagship globally, it could be expected to release as soon as the aforementioned time.
Also, the reported US launch date, falls a month later from the South Korea launch of the LG G6 smartphone. The LG G6 has already gone on sale in South Korea this year on March 9. The company got around 40,000 pre-orders in its homeland and has already begun taking pre-orders in the UK, reported GSMArena.

Though, LG G6 is likely to make its American appearance next month, the smartphone would not be available in White color variant in the US. To recall, LG G6 sports an all-metal design with IP68 rating against water and dust resistance. It has a 5.7 inch and offers a 18:9 ‘Univisium’ aspect ratio. The handset offers cinematic viewing experience with DolbyVision on board, first ever smartphone to have one. With 18:9 aspect ration and DolbyVision complimenting each other, the LG G6 offers immersive media nad entertainment experience.

LG G6 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC under the hood and runs on Android Nougat 7.0. The handset also has AI based Google Assistant on board. In terms of camera, the device features a a dual rear camera setup with 13-megapixel sensors and facilitates 4K video recording. It packs a 3000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support and measures 148.9 x 71.9 x 7.9mm at 163g.
