The brand Nokia jumped back into action with the beginning of the year 2017, launching its first fully Android smartphone Nokia 6 in January. Presently, managed by HMD Global, it is said to launch at least half a dozen Nokia Android smartphone in 2017. With just few weeks left for Mobile World Congress 2017 to kick off, rumors and reports have surfaced regarding Nokia’s next Android, Nokia P1 smartphone. Nokia P1 is likely to be announced in February at MWC 2017 at a press conference in Barcelona.

Earlier this week rumors spread of Nokia P1 pricing, suggesting that it would be flagship smartphone by the brand, priced around  $6oo and $700. Other reports also hints at prices going high up to $900. Nokia P1, being a flagship phone is said to compete with likes of Samsung Galaxy S8, LG G6. Both Samsung Galaxy S8 and LG G6 are expected to launch between the last week of February and first half of March. In terms of pricing and market share, the Nokia P1 along with other flagships would compete with Apple iPhone 8/X as well.

In terms of specifications, Nokia P1 is expected to sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, also said to featured on Samsung Galaxy S8. It is expected to bear a 5.3 inch Full HD display with curved edges and pack a 3500 mAh battery. The flagship is rumored to be powered by 6GB RAM and come in 128 GB  and 256 internal storage variants. In the camera department, it is said to feature a 22.6-megapixel rear camera developed by Carl Zeiss.

Other expected features include on Nokia P1 includes, USB Type-C port, 3.5 mm audio jack and a finger print scanner. The phone is expected to run on Android Nougat out-of-the-box  and might come in black, silver and gold color variant. There is nothing known about global release of the Nokia P1 device yet.

Similar to Nokia 6, the Nokia P1 is expected to launch first in China and other markets will have to wait a bit for the device to be available globally. Nokia 6 has already been named successful, with the getting sold out in couple of minutes during the flash sales.
