India vs Pakistan Recharge Plans: With the growing population, the demand for mobile services is rising rapidly in Pakistan and India. Affordable recharge plans are available in both countries, and a majority of people are using more than one SIM in their dual-SIM smartphones. The question arises is mobile recharge cheaper in Pakistan or India? Similar to Indian telecom service providers, leading telecom companies in Pakistan, such as Jazz, Telenor, Zong, and Ufone, offer mobile services with monthly recharge plans that include data, calling minutes, and SMS.

Here are the details of recharge plans in Pakistan

Telecom service provider – Jazz offers a monthly package of 30GB data, 3000 on-net minutes, and 3000 SMS for PKR 800-1200.

Another telecom service provider – Telenor – offers a 25GB data plan with unlimited on-net calls for PKR 600-1000.

Zong has 30GB data package with 500-1000 minutes priced at PKR 700-1200.

Here are the details of recharge plans in India

In India, the mobile service providers who dominate the telecom market are – Reliance Jio, Airtel, and Vodafone-Idea (Vi).

Billionaire Mukesh Ambani-owned Reliance Jio offers a 28-day plan with 2GB daily data, unlimited calls, and 100 SMS per day for Rs. 299.

Airtel provides a plan of 1.5GB daily data and unlimited calls for Rs. 319.

Vi offers a plan with 2GB daily data, unlimited calls, and 100 SMS per day for Rs. 299.

Notably, Government-owned BSNL is also challenging the private telecom players by offering cheap pre paid mobile recharge plans. The company has gained lakhs of users in recent months because of its affordable recharge plans.

Comparison

After comparing recharge plans of both countries, mobile services in India are cheaper than Pakistan. The average monthly recharge in neighbouring country PKR costs 800-1200 (approx. Rs. 260-390 in Indian currency).

In contrast, India offers superior data and calling facilities for Rs. 299-350. Companies like Jio have revolutionized the telecom sector by making services highly affordable. On the other hand, Pakistan’s mobile services are relatively costlier, especially for data packages.
