Reliance has sold about 33 percent of its digital arm Jio platforms. Private equity firm Silver Lake Partners will invest Rs 7,500 crore for a 1.75 percent stake in Reliance Industries Limited (RIL). Silver Lake, the world’s largest tech investor, had earlier bought a 2.08 percent stake in Jio platforms for $ 1.34 billion. RIL had earlier given an option to all 13 financial and strategic investors of the Jio platform to invest in its Reliance Retail Ventures Limited (RRVL) unit. These investors include Facebook, Google, KKR, Silver Lake, and TPG.
