Reliance Communications, the Reliance Jio competitor and owned by younger brother Anil Ambani is trying their best to up Jio and has launched their own new Holi offer. battling Jio in their own game with new free calling and cheap data packs. The new Holi offer pack launched by Reliance Communication will be valid for 28 days once the user recharges the device. As Reliance Communication is a 2G, 3G as well as a 4G spectrum service provider, users across all spectrums can avail the new plans and each plan has a special pricing. While there are special plans for 4G users, 3G and 2G users are also not forgotten. Reliance Communication has launched plans for all. However, it is still unclear if only the Prepaid customers will benefit from these new offers or are they for everyone – even the Postpaid customers.

As per the new 4G plan by Reliance, 1GB of 4G data will be given for free and there will be no cap on the amount of data that can be used per day. Apart from the low data charges, Reliance Communication is also offering free on net calling. For those with more data requirement, there is another pack, the Rs 149 pack launched by Reliance Communication which gives the user 3GB of 4G data for the same duration of 28 days. The same free on net calling offer applies to the Rs 149 recharge users as well. There is also a third recharge of Rs 99 which entitles the user to get 2GB of 4G data for 28 days. While Reliance Communication is offering the data pack at cheap costs, the calling and messaging under these new packs is not free though it is discounted.

For 3G users, there is a new pack priced at Rs 99 where users can avail unlimited 3G data. For 2G circles, the price of the pack is down to Rs 49. Unfortunately, there are no details on the cap the “unlimited” calling has and what speeds or charges will be applicable once the unlimited data is exhausted. The call charges for are 1 paisa per second for all users – 2G, 3G as well as 4G under these offers. As per the Reliance Communication Press Statement, “…all new 4G customers of Reliance Communications will get best-in-industry pricing, with 1GB of data access offered at just Rs 49, while 3GB of data access can be availed for only Rs 149, along with free and unlimited on-net local and STD calls. Regardless of the type of Smartphone or feature phone being used, customers will get best-in-class data and voice services without any additional recharge or membership—across 4G, 3G and 2G.” Reliance Jio users can simply get Jio Prime membership over Paytm – no need to download app or visit the store

Additionally, we still see immense potential in the 3G and 2G markets, which boast of 750 million Smartphones and data-ready feature phones. Apart from the data pack, Reliance Communications also announced new 3G plans for customers in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan and Jammu & Kashmir can now recharge with Rs 99 and get unlimited 3G data, bundled with Rs 20 worth of talk-time. In this plan, voice calls will be charged at 25 paise per miniute with a validity of 28 days. Additionally, new 2G customers in Haryana, Uttar Pradesh (E), Uttar Pradesh (W), Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Chennai can now avail unlimited 2G data access for only Rs 49, with an in-built talk-time of Rs 20, and call charges at 25 paise per minute, valid for 28 days.
