While so far, it was hinted that Samsung will be completely giving the Mobile World Congress 2017 (MWC) a miss, Samsung has sprung a surprise on all with their latest invite. The number 1 brand in India recently started sending out invites for an event scheduled to take place at MWC 2017. The event is scheduled for 26th February and while there is no word on the device to be launched, the invite hints at a gadget larger than a phone and Samsung could well launch their next tablet at MWC 2017. Rumours suggest it will be the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 that will be unveiled at MWC and the leaks and rumours around the device have already started filtering in. Apart from hinting at the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3, the invite gives absolutely no details about the features or the specifications.

In the past, Samsung has always been a part of Mobile World Congress, more often than not, launching their next flagship series device at MWC. However, since the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 recall, Samsung has pushed back the date of the Samsung Galaxy S8 launch and the smartphone is now expected to launch sometime in late March. Details about the smartphone are already out and Samsung Galaxy S8 is expected to bring considerable upgrades in aesthetics keeping some features the same. But more on that later. For now, as we focus on the supposedly upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab S3,  Unlike the Samsung Galaxy S8, Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 is not expected to come with drastic design changes and in terms of looks, while there will be some changes but overall, the design is expected to be the same.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 will be the successor to Samsung Galaxy Tab S2. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 will reportedly feature a 2k high definition 9.7 inch display with a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels. It is unknown if Samsung will also launch a smaller or a larger display version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3. Not the Samsung Galaxy S8 but rather, it will be the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 that will run the Android Nougat out of the box. However, instead of the Snapdragon 835 processor, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 is expected to sport a Snapdragon 820 processor under the hood.There might be multiple internal memory variants – however, for all the versions, the RAM is expected to be standard at 4 GB. Apart from the display, Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 will also focus on the camera and the tablet will come with 12 MP rear end camera. Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 will be camera intensive device and will come with a 2 or a 5 MP front camera for selfies. The tablet will be a 4G enabled tablet. While at Mobile World Congress, both WiFi Only and 4G Plus WiFi are expected to be launched, the version which will launch in India might be just the latter one looking at the 4G boom in the country. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 will be a premium device and is expected to be priced in the premium segment globally. Samsung is expected to continue their obsession with thin devices and the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 is also expected to be a slim model. For more details, there’s 25 days to go!
