Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus devices might not be announced at MWC 2017 but the phones are definitely stealing the thunder from every other device. Forgetting the millions of phones set to launch in less than a week at Mobile World Congress, the world is obsessed with Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus – the next “big” Samsung flagship. Both the smartphones are rumoured to launch on March 29th, a month after MWC and there have been multiple leaks surrounding the phone. Twitter tipster Evan Blass has leaked many of the specifications and his leaks are generally on point. This time too, it is him who has let the cat out of the bag. The mystery surrounding the smartphone is clearly not a mystery anymore but then, that is just what is expected when it is a flagship. Hardly has any brand managed to keep a flagship under wraps for too long and Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus is not different.
However, the one new thing this latest listing and leak brings is that it tells us Samsung will officially be following in Apple’s footsteps once more and will be launching their flagship phone with a dual rear end camera. The camera is dubbed the dual Pixel camera (take on the Pixel cam being the best in the Android market so far?). The front end camera comes with no surprises. Apart from the rear end cam being a dual lens snapper, there are no other details given. While initially, it was believed that Samsung will stick to only one camera with higher resolution and better photography software, the latest rumour suggests that the Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus will definitely have the dual cam. However, Samsung Galaxy S8 is not expected to come with a dual rear end snapper and will have just the one basic camera. Coming to the display of the device, since the Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus will be a larger device, the display will also be bigger. The display will be 6.2 inches as per the rumoured specs. However, as the phone comes with really slim bezels and hardly any additional space, the overall phone size won’t be too big. The phone is also rumoured to come with an iris scanner and a fingerprint scanner – just like the Samsung Galaxy Note 7. Apart from the scanner, the Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus will also be completely dust and water resistant. Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus will support wireless charging and the charger for the same will be sold separately. The phone expected to be up for sale along with Samsung Galaxy S8 on April 21st, almost a month after the official launch. The price of the phone is still under wraps though being a flagship, the phone will be priced in the premium segment, just like the previous years.
