Samsung Galaxy S8 tipped to price around Rs 58,000 and launch in April: Here is all we know

Samsung Galaxy S8 and rumors around it has become frequent from the beginning of 2017, as the company is expected to launch the flagship this year. A tipster @Ricciolo1 on Twitter has shared some information suggesting that Samsung would launch the Galaxy S8 in and around MWC 2017. However, he also claims that the Samsung would hold its own event, days after Mobile World Congress, to showcase the device to a larger audience.

Ricciolo1 tweeted ‘#S8 is READY & will be present to mwc,though NOT showcased to big public.. Little bird told me 3/29 , available w17, from 849 !!! #galaxyS8″. According to the leak, Samsung Galaxy would be available for purchase by April end if  ‘w17’ is considered to be week 17. Also, the Samsung event could take place on March 29, which is 3 weeks after MWC 2017 wraps up. Notably, the tipster has also hinted at a price tag of $849, which translates into Rs 58,000. Now, the price might sound a bit high, but other premium phones have gone beyond the prices tag of Rs 70000 as well. Also, Samsung Galaxy S8 series is the most anticipated flagship of this year and if earlier rumors and reports are to be considered, then the device might just be worth it, packing dual edge-curved display with minimal bezels on top and bottom and no physical home button. There is a possibility of Samsung Galaxy S8 would sport a flat display and an another Galaxy S8 Plus, the ‘dual-curved edge’ variant might be launch along side as well.

To recall, the device has earlier been tipped to flaunt a 94 percent screen-to-body ratio, integrating an optical fingerprint scanner in the display itself. Samsung galaxy S8 is also expected to run on latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC along with an 8GB RAM. It might sport a 2K Quad HD display.  While a Samsung Display promo video which surfaced online earlier this week, tipped of a 4K Super AMOLED display on Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus.

Also, a recent 3D render leak tipped of Samsung Galaxy S8 to be taller and broader than Samsung Galaxy S7. However, with lot of speculations floating ahead of the official launch, these information shall be taken with a pinch of salt.
