Samsung has sent out invites for an event scheduled to happen on 26th February, right before Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017 kicks off. The event invite does not hint at any product and does not even mention the device to be launched but speculations are Samsung will be launching their next tablet, the Samsung Galaxy S3 Tab at MWC. While previously it was believed that Samsung would skip the Mobile World Congress in 2017 altogether, looks like Samsung will shift focus from mobiles to other devices at MWC. Each year, MWC is the platform for Samsung to launch Samsung Galaxy S flagship device but this year, the Samsung Galaxy S8, which will be the next Samsung flagship phone will be launching late and rumours suggest the launch of the phone in march end.

However, MWC will not be completely without Samsung Galaxy S8. Breaking tradition of launching the phone at the event, Samsung has pushed the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S8 back. But then, Samsung is keeping some of the MWC excitement alive and Samsung fans will be able to get the first glimpse of their beloved Samsung Galaxy S8 smartphone at the Samsung Galaxy S3 Tab event. Reportedly, Samsung plans to announce the Samsung Galaxy S8 during the launch and also unveil the teaser of the smartphone at the event. Quite reminds us of Bollywood movies where there is the teaser of an upcoming movie announced before the film starts. However, here, Samsung Galaxy S8 might just steal Samsung Tab’s thunder but hey, everything’s fair for the next flagship!

Samsung Galaxy S8 is expected to come with incremental upgrades. The smartphone image and specs sheet was recently leaked by the Twitter tipster Evleaks (Evan Blass) and there is little unknown about the phone now. Samsung Galaxy S8 is expected to come with high AI or Artificial Intelligence and there are expected to be 2 versions of the new assistant the phone will come with – male and female called Bixby and Kestra respectively. Apart from artificial intelligence, the design is the next biggest aspect of the device. Samsung Galaxy S8 will reportedly come with dual edged display and also there is expected to be no home button on the device – a first for any Samsung device. The fingerprint sensor has instead been shifted to the back of the device along with the camera. Huawei Honor 6X goes up for sale on Amazon India starting Rs 12,999

Coming to certain specifications, it is known that Samsung Galaxy S8 will come with Android Nougat out of the box. it is also known that Samsung Galaxy S8 will be the first Samsung smartphone to run Qualcomm Snapdragon’s newly launched Snapdragon 835 SoC chipset. There is no word as to the internal memory of the device but ideally, Samsung Galaxy S8 is expected to come in just one internal memory variant – that is 64 GB. The RAM is high at 6 GB. There is also rumoured to be an expandable memory card slot which supports expansion up to 256 GB. The camera will not have any major upgrades but the rear end cam continues to be a 16 MP shooter and the front camera will be a 5 mP or 8 MP snapper. There will be no dual rear camera. Samsung Galaxy S8 will launch in the end of March but then, the teaser all set to launch at MWC will definitely give us a glimpse into the device. The phone is expected to have an all metal body. Needless to say, Samsung Galaxy S8 will be a premium segment device. It will come with the high end features and also be priced in the premium bracket. While the global launch of the device is March end, Samsung Galaxy S8 might come to India late April. Since the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 failure, the entire attention and focus is now on Samsung Galaxy S8 and there is high excitement among Samsung fanboys to see how Samsung manages to turn their tough luck around and make a success of the Samsung Galaxy S8.
