Xiaomi, which has been aggressively pushing it’s product in India has met with great response in the country. The Chinese smartphone brand which entered the Indian market only a couple of years back and has made great inways in the Indian market. Popular as the ‘Apple of China’, Xiaomi has not managed to reach the premium status that Apple commands in the market but it is immensely popular in the mid-range and the budget range segment in the country. Through competitive pricing, Xiaomi managed to gain an edge over other smartphone manufacturers and has even left other Chinese competitors behind in the Indian market. Coming to the Redmi 3S and Redmi 3S Prime which is the slightly upgraded version of Redmi 3S,  both budget smartphones were launched by Xiaomi in August, nearly 4 months back, the devices have quickly reached the million club in India. According to a recent announcement by Flipkart, where the Redmi 3S and Redmi 3S Prime are exclusive devices, over 1 million units of the device have been shipped in just 4 months. The smartphone series is popular among the younger audiences with majority of the sales happening in the age group of 18-30 years. Both, Redmi 3S and Redmi 3S Prime are budget devices and in the sub 12-k nearly entry level segment in the country. In terms of features and specifications, there are not too many differences between the devices. Most of the features except for the internal hardware are similar. Both, Redmi 3S and Redmi 3S Prime come with an all metal body and a 5-inch HD display. Not both the smartphones have a fingerprint sensor, but the Redmi 3S Prime sports one on the back of the device. Both, Redmi 3S and Redmi 3S Prime run Android Marshmallow with MIUI skin on top. Both the smartphones run Qualcomm MSM8937 Snapdragon 430 Octa-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53 processor under the hood. While Redmi 3S comes with 16 GB internal memory, Redmi 3S Prime comes with 32GB internal memory. While Redmi 3S comes with 2GB RAM, the RAM in Redmi 3S Prime is higher at 3GB. Apart from entering the million sale club with the Redmi 3S and Redmi 3S Prime, Xiaomi also announced a surprise for their fans. For the first time the Chinese brand will be entering the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in 2017 and will be launching a new product. There is no word on what the product will be. But for the first time ever, it will be a global product meaning Xiaomi will launch the product across markets at the same time or the same product without any variations. Xiaomi has been looking at expansion outside India and their CES event might be the first step. The event is scheduled for January 5th. Other Chinese smartphone brands have already entered to US and this will be Xiaomi’s first step. The brand said in a statement, At its CES debut, leading technology company Xiaomi will be showcasing an exciting new product that illustrates how it is pushing the boundaries of innovation. Xiaomi was founded based on the vision “innovation for everyone” — with the belief that high-quality products built with cutting-edge technology should be made widely accessible.”
