German luxury carmaker - BMW has reportedly imported the all-new next generation 7 Series and the 2015 3 Series facelift sedans into India for testing purpose. According to the information we have received, the Bavarian carmaker has imported a single unit of the upcoming flagship 7 Series and two units of the new 3 Series from Germany. Both the cars with will be tested on the Indian terrains before their subsequent launches.

BMW India, the Luxury car major has announced its plan to increased localisation in its vehicles to 50 per cent. This decision shows that BMW supports the Make-in-India programme, a top company official said today. When asked about the same, BMW Group India President, Philipp Von Sahr said, "The higher localisation has enabled us to address challenges like inflation in emerging markets such as India." He was replying to a specific query on the company's contribution to Make-in-India programme.
