Aaditya Uddhav Thackeray is an Indian politician who belongs to the Shiv Sena political party. His career as a politician started in 2010 when he was appointed as president of the Yuva Sena, which was founded by him and which is the youth wing of the party. On October 3 he filed his nomination from the Worli seat in Mumbai for the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly Election.
As president of the Yuva Sena, Aaditya created the concept of channelizing and transforming youth energy into service for the people, and based on the tag line Yuva Sena-Yuva Seva, the organisation is about the rights, duties and dedicated service of the youth.

With education, health, and employment as its main targets, the Yuva Sena has in a short span of time evolved into a mass organisation of the youth, working in tune with the ideology of the Shiv Sena party where social work is above politics.
Aaditya was appointed as the president of the Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA) in 2017 after he garnered the highest number of votes in the elections. The term of office is for four years.
Aaditya Thackeray was born on June 13, 1990 in Mumbai, Maharashtra to Uddhav Thackeray, who is the chief of the Shiv Sena, and Rashmi Thackeray, and has one brother. He is the grandson of late Bal Thackeray, who founded the Shiv Sena, and his uncle is Raj Thackeray who is the chief of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena.
He was schooled at the Bombay Scottish School, and then at St. Xavier's College where he did his B.A. in History, followed by an LLB at the KC Law College.
Aaditya is fond of composing ballads and in 2007 he published his first book of poems titled, My Thoughts in White and Black. He also released a private album named Ummeed, for which he wrote all the eight songs.
In 2015, he had announced that his proposal to revive Mumbai nightlife had been accepted by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. The move would allow malls and restaurants to stay open all night.
