Air India announced that the flight, now re-badged as AI 1179, arrived safely in San Francisco, adding that the passengers and crew disembarked and were taken to the terminal building for further processes.

A passenger on board the Delhi-Mumbai flight said that the flight AI-805 was delayed from its original schedule of 8:00 pm to 10:40 pm first then 11:35 pm then 12:30 am and then finally it took off at 1:48 am from Terminal 3 of the airport in Delhi.

An Air India official said a rodent was spotted when the plane had just started taxiing early Sunday morning and subsequently, the take-off was aborted.
