Angad Singh Bedi is an Indian actor and model who works predominantly in the Hindi film and television industries. He made his on-screen debut in 2004 in movie Kaya Taran alongside Seema Biswas, Neelambari Bhattacharya and Neeta Mohindra. The film was set against the backdrop of the 2002 Gujarat riots and the 1984 anti-Sikh riots.
He made his Bollywood debut in 2011 in movie F.A.L.T.U which also featured Jackky Bhagnani, Puja Gupta, Chandan Roy Sanyal, and Riteish Deshmukh in lead roles. The movie had an average run at the box office.
2014 TO 2020:
In 2014, Angad starred with a number of other well-known stars in movie Ungli, which he followed with Pink (2016), Dear Zindagi (2016), Tiger Zinda Hai (2017), Soorma (2018), and The Zoya Factor (2019). In most, he had a supporting role.
Angad will next be seen in 2020 movie Gunjan Saxena which also stars Janhvi Kapoor and Pankaj Tripathi. The movie is inspired by the life of Gunjan Saxena, the first female Indian Air Force pilot and first Indian woman airforce pilot in combat.
In 2016, he acted in the second season of Hindi television series 24 which is based on the American series of the same name, and the following year in Inside Edge which is based on a fictional T20 cricket team, Mumbai Mavericks that plays in the Power-Play League. He will next be seen in the television series The Verdict - State vs Nanavati which revolves around the 1959 Indian judiciary case, KM Nanavati v. State of Maharashtra.
Angad has also played host on reality shows Extraaa Innings T20 (2010), Cook Na Kaho (2010), and season one of Emotional Atyachar (2011). He was a contestant in season 3 of the Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi (2010).
Angad Singh Bedi was born on February 6, 1983 in New Delhi to noted Indian cricketer Bishan Singh Bedi and Anju Inderjit Bedi, and he has one sister and a stepbrother and stepsister. He did his schooling at the Gyan Bharati Public School in Delhi and graduated from the St. Stephen's College in Delhi. He is married to Neha Dhupia and has a daughter with her.
Coming from a family with a cricket background, Angad had in his younger days been passionate about the sport and had played for the Delhi Under-16 and Under 19.
