German luxury carmaker Audi has recently revealed its plans to enter the luxury MPV segment with an all-new vehicle based on the popular A3 sedan. The car will be a direct rival to the popular Mercedes-Benz B Class MPV and the new BMW 2 Series Active Tourer in the International market. Reports speculate that it will arrive at showrooms by 2018.

German luxury carmaker Mercedes-Benz today launched the new 2015 B-Class mini-MPV in India at a starting price of INR 27.95 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai). Mercedes has launched the new B-Class both in petrol and diesel variants and the diesel version is being offered at a starting price of INR 28.95 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai). Mercedes also launched an upgraded diesel version of its premium hatchback A-Class. Earlier Mercedes-Benz India had announced its plans to launch 15 new models in the country in 2015. With the launch of Mercedes-Benz CLA Class last month followed by the B-Class, Mercedes has proved that it means business.

German luxury carmaker Mercedes-Benz is gearing up for some back to back launches in India. With the recent launch of CLA-Class, and the diesel version of C-Class in slated for a February release, the next in pipeline is likely to be the 2015 facelift of its premium mini-MPV the B-Class. According to reports Mercedes is importing the B-Class 200 CDI in the country for homologation purposes ahead of its official launch later this year.
