After Zest, The launch of Tata’s much awaited hatchback – Bolt, has been postponed till 2015. As per latest report from our sources, Tata is planning to launch the Bolt by early 2015. Tata bolt going to be second passenger car from the Tata Motors India stable after the launch of Tata Zest in August 2014.

A prototype of Tata Motors India’s upcoming hatchback – Bolt, has been seen testing in Lavasa, India. Bolt had a world debut at the Delhi Auto Expo 2014, and expected to hit the Indian road in 2015 as Tata's current focus is on its recently launched Zest sedan. Tata bolt will be the second passenger vehicle from the Tata Motors India stable after Tata Zest. Zest has already received more than 10,000 bookings since its launch.

The profitability of the struggling domestic unit of Tata Motors, especially that of its passenger car division, depends on the success of the newly launched sedan Zest and the forthcoming roll out Bolt, says global rating agency Moody’s.

After the successful launch of Zest, Tata Motors is now planning to launch its latest hatchback - Bolt in October 2014 in Indian Market. We have seen the first look of Tata Bolt at 2014 Delhi Auto Expo. Tata Bolt will be a replacement of Tata Vista, but with improved interior and stylish exterior, Bolt will be available in both petrol and diesel version, the 1.2 litre Revotron petrol powered engine and 1.3L Quadrajet diesel engine. The price details are still not revealed by Tata, but we expect that Tata will price the Bolt in the range of INR 4.6 lakhs to 6.6 lakhs. Bolt will be available in four petrol and three diesel variants, and will compete with the Grand i10, Maruti Suzuki Swift, Chevrolet Sail and Volkswagen Polo in the same segment.
