On December 30, 2024, Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu opened India's first glass bridge over the sea. The 77-meter bridge connects the Vivekananda Rock Memorial to the Thiruvalluvar statue. Launched by Chief Minister MK Stalin, it lets visitors walk above the waves and enjoy stunning ocean views, skipping the ferry rides.
