Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport Resumes Flight Operations After 11 Hours

Flight operations at Mumbai airport resumed on Monday night after being suspended for 11 hours due to the cyclone Tauktae. The Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport had announced the suspension of all air services, initially for three hours from 11 am on Monday due to the cyclone. During the past 11 hours, over 55 flights, both incoming and outbound, were canceled till around 7.30 pm.

Cyclone Tauktae live tracking: The Central Water Commission (CWC) on Saturday issued an 'orange bulletin' for Kerala and Tamil Nadu, predicting a severe flood situation in the two states. Water levels are likely to reach 'danger' and highest flood levels, the CWC said. Over 50 teams of the NDRF (National Disaster Response Force) have been deployed in five states - Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat and Maharashtra.
