Dimple Kapadia

Dimple Kapadia was born on 8 June, 1957, in Mumbai (the then Bombay). She is an acclaimed Indian film actress who mainly does Bollywood movies. Dimple Kapadia was launched by the showman Raj Kapoor in Bobby (1973) opposite his handsome son, actor Rishi Kapoor. Dimple Kapadia was just 16 then.

During Bobby, Dimple Kapadia was already married and pregnant with her husband, the then Bollywood superstar Rajesh Khanna's first child (Twinkle Khanna). Dimple Kapadia separated from Rajesh Khanna but has two lovely daughters, Twinkle Khanna and Rinke Khanna, from him. Rajesh Khanna died in 2012 and Dimple Kapadia was by his side through his cancer.

Both Twinkle and Rinke tried their hand at acting but could not attain the kind of success their mother did. Twinkle Khanna today is a renowned columnist-author and an interior designer by profession. She is married to actor Akshay Kumar. Although in her earlier films like Bobby, Saagar and some others, Dimple Kapadia became popular as a sex symbol, later and upon her comeback, she did some hard-hitting roles like in Khamosh, Krantiveer,  Kaash, Drishti, Gardish, Lekin and Rudaali, to name a few. As she grew older, Dimple Kapadia's charm remained and she did effective roles in Dil Chahta Hai, Leela, Luck By Chance, Tum Milo Toh Sahi, Being Cyrus, Finding Fanny and some others.
