Disha Patani

Disha Patani (Paatni) is an Indian actress who works predominantly in the Hindi film industry but made her acting debut in 2015 in Telegu movie Loafer opposite Varun Tej. She made her Bollywood debut in 2016 with a small part in biographical sports film M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story.

Disha won a BIG Star Entertainment Award for Most Entertaining Actor (Film) Debut – Female, Star Screen Award for Best Female Debut, Stardust Award for Best Acting Debut (Female), and an International Indian Film Academy Award for Best Female Debut for her part in M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story.

2017 ONWARDS:

In 2017, Disha starred in Kung Fu Yoga alongside veteran actor Jackie Chan, Chinese actors Aarif Rahman, Lay Zhang, and Miya Muqi, and Indian actors Sonu Sood, and Amyra Dastur. The film was a major box-office success in China and it became Jackie Chan's highest-grossing film, though it did not perform so well in India.

The following year, 2018, Disha featured in two movies, namely, Welcome to New York and Baaghi 2. In the former, which starred a good number of well-known actors, Disha only made a cameo appearance. In the second movie, she was paired opposite actor Tiger Shroff and the film was a huge box office hit, earning her a Lux Golden Rose Award for Lux Golden Rose Breakthrough Beauty Of The Year nomination.

Disha went on to star in 2019 movie Bharat alongside Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Tabu, Sunil Grover, and Jackie Shroff, and the film was a huge commercial success. In 2020, she has a number of movies in her kitty, namely, Malang, KTina, and Radhe.

Apart from movies, Disha has also featured in two music videos, namely, Befikra by Meet Bros and Aditi Singh Sharma in 2016, and in Har Ghoont Mein Swag by Badshah in 2019.

PERSONAL LIFE:

Disha Patani (Paatni) was born in Bareilly of Uttar Pradesh to Jagdish Singh Patani, and she has an elder sister and a younger brother. Just like her date of birth, not much is known about her educational qualification, though it is said she is a college dropout who studied B.Tech in CSE at Amity University in Noida till the second year.
