The Department of Technical Education is a higher education governance body under the government of Karnataka, India. DTE is a part of the higher education department and is managed by the Minister of Education. The department advises the government on matters dealing with higher education.DTE conducts the diploma exam twice per year in the months of April-May and Nov-Dec in the state and a large number of candidates appear for the exam to look after their engineering degree.The candidates who will get the required marks in the Karnataka Diploma Results are elevated to the following semester of their respected engineering program.
