Girish Kumar Taurani or Girish Kumar is an Indian actor who works in the Hindi film industry. He had made his Bollywood debut in 2013 romantic action movie Ramaiya Vastavaiya alongside actress Shruti Haasan. Directed by Prabhu Deva and produced by Kumar S. Taurani, the movie did not get many favourable reviews and it also did not perform well at the box office.
For his role in the movie, Girish, who was overweight, had to take up bodybuilding during the three years he was undergoing training, but the director was reportedly happy and satisfied with his looks for the part.
PERSONAL LIFE:
Girish Kumar Taurani was born on January 30, 1989 in Mumbai to Kumar S. Taurani. His father Kumar is associated with Tips Industries Limited, which is one of the biggest corporate houses that deal with music and films. Kumar Taurani and his brother Ramesh Taurani have produced and distributed a number of films under the Tips banner.
CAREER:
In 2016, Girish starred in Loveshhuda alongside Navneet Kaur Dhillon and Naveen Kasturia. The movie, which was produced by Vijay and Pratik Galani, and directed by Vaibhav Misra, failed to impress and bombed at the box office.
Girish then starred in short film Collateral Damage in 2018, which was about an archaic practice that exists in villages. It was released on November 29, 2018 and was screened at many film festivals. In 2019, Girish has two upcoming movies, Dabangg 3, which is the third installment of Dabangg film series starring Salman Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, Arbaaz Khan and Mahie Gill, and Adhoora opposite Chetna Pande.
