Honda 2 Wheelers India is gearing up to launch its much awaited middleweight performance segment motorcycle, CBR650F next month. With a launch date slated for August 4, the bike maker has reportedly revealed that up to 30 units of the all-new CBR will be up and ready to go on sale by the launch date. Initially Honda will retail the new 650F through 10 exclusive dealership located across the country.

Honda Motorcycles India: Honda to invest INR 1,775 crore to expand 2-wheeler capacity

Japanese auto major Honda has announced its decision to invest INR 1,775 crore this year to expand its two-wheeler production capacity and also for the launch of its new models in India.  The company's wholly owned subsidiary, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) plans to introduce 15 new products this year, out of which seven are brand new models. It will also start assembling high-end sports bike CBR 650F in India. In a statement released by the company, Honda says that India is a market which the company expects to become 'number one' for it globally in two years.

Honda disputes Hero's fuel economy claim: Company says Hero's claim of 102.5 kmpl is misleading

Japanese auto maker Honda has questioned its erstwhile Indian partner Hero's claim of 102.5 kmpl fuel economy rate for Splendor iSmart bike, saying "such claims are misleading and are far from reality". The Indian firm, Hero MotoCorp on its part hit back saying its fuel efficiency values were certified by iCAT (International Centre for Automotive Technology), a government authorised agency, and "challenging these test results" mean "questioning the standards and regulations established by the Government of India, and in turn, the law of the land in our country".

Honda Motorcycle India reports 9% increase in sales for April 2015

Two-wheeler manufacturer Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has reported 9 per cent increase in total sales at 3,40,791 units in April. HMSI claims to be the “Highest Volume & Market Share gainer in April, 2015”. The company had sold 3,13,894 units in the corresponding month last year, HMSI said in a statement.
