Last month when Hyundai launched the Creta compact SUV, the company welcomed a huge response from India buyers. Within a week from the launch Hyundai registered a total of 18,600. While these numbers look quite impressive, what followed was long waiting periods for customers. Initially Hyundai India quoted a waiting period of 3 months, but now some dealership area claiming that it could go up to 10 months.

Hyundai Motor India who is readying itself for the launch of its much awaited compact SUV-Creta today shared its sales figures for the month of June. The company reported an 8.3 per cent increase in domestic sales at 36,300 units in last month. The company had sold 33,514 units in the same month last year, HMIL said in a statement.
