Lisa Haydon

Elisabeth Marie Haydon or Lisa Haydon, as she is known, is an Australian actress, model and TV presenter who works mainly in the Hindi film industry. She made her Bollywood debut in 2010 movie Aisha alongside actors Sonam Kapoor and Abhay Deol.

Lisa then starred in 2011 movie Rascals alongside actors Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgn, and Kangana Ranaut, with Arjun Rampal making a special guest appearance. The movie received mixed to negative response from critics and failed miserably at the box office. In 2012, Lisa made a cameo appearance in the song Racha in the Telegu movie with the same name.

In 2014, Lisa had two movies, one was Queen and the other The Shaukeens. She received critical praise for her role in the first and she was even nominated for a Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress. Queen had featured Kangana Ranaut in the lead role with Lisa and Rajkummar Rao playing supporting roles, and it was a commercial success that won several awards. The Shaukeens, which also featured actors Anupam Kher, Annu Kapoor, Piyush Mishra, and Akshay Kumar and is a remake of the 1982 film Shaukeen, did okay at the box office.

Her next movies were all in 2016, and they were Santa Banta Pvt Ltd, Housefull 3, and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. The first had also starred Vir Das, Boman Irani, and Neha Dhupia in lead roles. The second, which featured Akshay Kumar, Jacqueline Fernandez, Abhishek Bachchan, Nargis Fakhri, Riteish Deshmukh, Chunky Pandey, and Jackie Shroff along with Lisa, was a box office hit. In the third, which starred actors Anushka Sharma, Ranbir Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in lead roles, Lisa had a cameo appearance.

PERSONAL LIFE:

Elisabeth Marie 'Lisa' Haydon was born on June 17, 1986 in Chennai to a Tamil father and an Australian mother, and her sister is model turned DJ, Malika Haydon. Lisa lived in Australia and the US before she moved to India in 2007 to pursue modelling. She is married to British businessman Dino Lalvani and has a son with him named Zack. She is also expecting her second child with him.

MODELLING CAREER:

Lisa, who was studying psychology and had wanted to become a yoga teacher at the age of 18, took up modelling as a means to pay her rent and tuition fees. Her first modelling assignment was in Australia, and then in 2007 she shifted to India where she walked the ramp for Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW) and HDIL-India Couture Week(HDIL-ICW). She has been the face of many brands and has also graced the covers of many magazines.

TELEVISION:

Lisa was a host/judge on the reality show India's Next Top Model in 2015-2016, she was part of the web series The Trip in 2016-2017, and a host/judge for Top Model India in 2018.

AWARDS:

She was named the best model and the most stylish persona in Cosmopolitan Fun and Fearless Awards 2009, DNA most stylish 2009, Marie Claire best model 2010. In 2014 she won the Vogue Beauty Award for Best Breakthrough, and in 2015 the Lions' Gold Award for Favourite Actress in Supporting Role (Female), both were for her role in movie Queen.
