Mahindra owned SsangYong expects 5 to 8% growth in sales

Auto major Mahindra & Mahindra expects its South Korean arm SsangYong to achieve sales growth of 5-8 per cent during the current fiscal. SsangYong Motor Co (SMC), which sold about 1.4 lakh vehicles during 2014, is banking on its domestic market and Western Europe to compensate for decline at two major markets of China and Russia.

Homegrown leading SUV manufacturer Mahindra and Mahindra has announced its association with Open Automotive Alliance (OAA), a global alliance of vehicle manufacturers with leading edge connectivity technology. As a member of this group Mahindra along with other automaker, will be committed to bring the Android platform to cars. The announcement was made at Google I/O, Google's developer conference in San Francisco, the company said in its statement.

Mahindra to Launch Three New Cars This Year: Official

At the launch of new XUV500, Mahindra & Mahindra, the homegrown utility vehicle maker, has announced that it will launch three all-new cars in the Indian car market this year. Adding to it, the company will also introduce six facelifts of existing cars in the country in 2015. We believe that the homegrown UV maker will launch the S101 micro SUV, U301 Bolero and the new Quanto in the Indian car marker. All three cars have been spotted testing for several times during its test rounds on Indian roads.

Mahindra's director Pawan Goenka appointed as the Ambassador of Foreign Investment Promotion for Korea

Mahindra and Mahindra’s Executive Director, Dr. Pawan Goenka has been appointed as at Honorary Ambassador of Foreign Investment Promotion for Korea at a special ceremony which was held in Mumbai. The company’s official statement says the Dr. Goenka was conferred with this title in the presence of several senior dignitaries and officials and under his new title will promote economic ties between India and Korea. The statement also said that he will be advising corporate India on potential investment opportunities in South Korea.

After a surging charge from the sixth row of the grid, Mapfre Team Mahindra rider Francesco “Pecco” Bagnaia claimed his best finish of the year so far, to a whisker-close seventh place in the Spanish GP, fighting to the end and narrowly losing sixth place on the final hairpin. At the same time team-mate Jorge Martin turned it into two Mahindras in the points, as he claimed the 14th place, also the GP rookie’s best result so far since the European season begin. Before the Spain GP Martin saw three “flyaway” races.

Mahindra Car Sales April 2015: Mahindra records 1% rise in sales at 36,727

One of India's leading SUV manufacturers, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, has reported one per cent rise in total sales in April 2015. The company today announced its sales figures according to which the Mahindra has sold 36,727 units in the month of April 2015 as against 36,288 units from last year. In reference to the Passenger Vehicle segment which also comprised of UV's and the Verito, the company sold 18,314 units for the month in comparison to previous figure of 18,148 units for the same period. 

Mahindra pledges support to quake-hit Nepal by supplying vehicles for rehabilitation

Indian auto major Mahindra & Mahindra on Sunday provided tractors and pick up vehicles to earthquake-hit Nepal as it came forward to support the rehabilitation work.  The tractors and pick up vehicles were delivered to the Nepal Government through their local distributor which would be used for the rehabilitation work, M&M Ltd said in a statement.  In addition, Mahindra will also provide the same assistance to affected states and districts in India as well, it added.

Mahindra & Mahindra India: Mahindra inaugurates its INR 250 Crore extended manufacturing facility at Zaheerabad, Telangana

The Automotive Division of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. today inaugurated its extended automotive manufacturing facility in Zaheerabad, Telangana. The extended facility of the automotive plant was inaugurated by the Honourable Chief Minister of Telangana, Shri. K Chandrashekar Rao. The INR 250-crore facility will be used to manufacture Mahindra's new small commercial vehicle, P601, which is scheduled to be launched in the first half of the current fiscal, said M&M Executive Director Pawan Goenka said.

Mahindra Cars in Brazil: Mahindra to stop vehicle sales in Brazil sighting bad market conditions

Homegrown major Mahindra & Mahindra is exiting from the Brazilian market citing unfavourable conditions and lack of opportunity in the mid to long term. "The current situation in Brazil has made it difficult for us. We see no potential in the mid to long term in the country and therefore we have decided to stop our operations there," Mahindra & Mahindra President and Chief Executive (Automotive) Pravin Shah told PTI.
