Maruti Ciaz SHVS diesel hybrid launching soon

Maruti Suzuki India is all set to launch the diesel hybrid version of the Maruti Ciaz saloon in the Indian car market. If media reports are to be believed, the diesel hybrid will go on sale by the mid-August, 2015. Adding to it, the hybrid model will replace the diesel Ciaz, and the dealers are currently offering discounts of up to 25,000 to exhaust current stock.

Country’s largest auto manufacturer Maruti Suzuki is planning to bring in the famed Start-Stop feature in its upcoming cars. It is an attempt by Maruti to further its position as the most fuel efficient carmaker in the county, which it had lost for nearly 5-6 years. Well, that of course was before the launch of its premium mid-segment sedan Ciaz, which is now claimed to be India’s most fuel efficient car at 26.2 Kmpl. Reports indicate that this feature will be a part of its upcoming cars, Ciaz Sports and MPV Ertiga facelift.

When Maruti Suzuki India launched the mid-segment sedan Ciaz last year it became an instant hit. Launched as a direct competitor to Honda City, the car offered some of the most premium features in the class at a much lesser price point than its contenders. Now Maruti has introduced an upgraded top variant, Ciaz Z+ for both the petrol and diesel trims. The Ciaz Z+ is available in both petrol (ZXi+) and diesel (ZDi+) versions, priced at INR 9.08 lakhs and INR 10.37 lakhs respectively.

Maruti Suzuki India: Maruti aims to achieve 20% growth at 1.2 lakh units in exports in 2014-15

Country's largest car maker Maruti Suzuki India is eyeing 20 per cent growth in vehicle exports this fiscal at 1.2 lakh units, riding on increased sales in non-European markets like Africa, Latin America and the Middle East. In the current fiscal till date, the company has exported over 92,000 units in over 100 countries, a growth of over 23 per cent over previous year and would soon launch its latest model 'Ciaz' in Mexico to add to its export basket. "We are likely to close the financial year with around 1.2 lakh units, a growth of around 20 per cent," a Maruti Suzuki India Spokesperson told PTI.
