(PTI) Seeking to make a mark in the big car segment, the India's largest car maker Maruti Suzuki India will open bookings of its upcoming mid-sized sedan Ciaz from tomorrow. Maruti Ciaz will be available in petrol and Diesel fuel options powered by a 1.4 litre and 1.3 litre engines respectively.

Ranveer Singh has already been seen in the print campaign of the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz in a clean shaven look wearing a formal business suit.

The Maruti Ciaz was spotted during the shoot of its first TV commercial at Madhavpur in Gujarat. Ranveer Singh being the brand ambassador for Maruti Ciaz, the TV commercial will showcase a brown color, top model of Ciaz. Maruti Suzuki India is using #CoolCatsInTown to promote the new sedan. The Ciaz is expected to launch in the September 2014 and will consider as the replacement of SX4, while, Maruti has announced that the bookings of Ciaz are likely to begin very soon. The Ciaz is expected to be priced in the range of INR 7.5 lakh to INR 10.5 lakh and can give a tough competition to other cars like, Hyundai Verna, Honda City, VW Vento, Nissan Sunny, Fiat Linea and Renault Scala in the same segment.

Maruti Suzuki's much awaited sedan – Ciaz, entered production in India at Maruti's Manesar plant. Maruti Suzuki is planning to launch Ciaz in September 2014 in Indian market; Ciaz will be the replacement for Maruti SX4. Maruti Ciaz will be available in both petrol and diesel engine version in India. Ciaz will take on the current market leaders like Hyundai Verna, Honda City and Volkswagen Vento. Maruti is planning to launch the Ciaz in six variants in India – 3petrol VXi, VXi+, ZXi and 3 diesel - VDi, VDi+, ZDi. Prices are not yet reveled by the Maruti but we expect that the Ciaz is likely to be priced in the INR 7.2 lakhs to INR 10.5 lakhs. The bookings are likely to commence towards the end of this month.

Ciaz will be the next launch from Maruti after successful Maruti Celerio, Ciaz will be replacement for Maruti sx4. Maruti Ciaz will be tentatively launched in September end or October beginning during the Indian festive season. Maruti is also planning to launch Maruti cross but that will be next year.
