Country's largest car maker Maruti Suzuki India today revealed its plans to launch its first ever light commercial vehicle (LCV) this year. Despite declining sales in the segment, the carmaker says it will go ahead with the launch in the current fiscal itself. Maruti Suzuki this Tuesday launched country’s first diesel hybrid car, the new Ciaz SHVS in India priced at INR 8.23 – 10.17 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

After the launch of its much anticipated crossover car S-Cross, Maruti Suzuki, India’s largest carmaker now gears up to bring in some new facelifts. And the first of the lot is likely to be the new 2015 Ertiga MPV. The new Ertiga has been spotted testing in Indonesia on several occasion, and recently the MPV was spotted in an all new undisguised avatar.

Country's largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki India will have a "high number of new model launches" in this fiscal, including a compact sport utility vehicle, as it looks to consolidate its leadership position. The company, which will have a new manufacturing plant in Gujarat where its parent Suzuki Motor Corp will invest, said Centre alone cannot realise the dream of the country becoming a global manufacturing hub and states would have to play an important role.

Maruti Suzuki recently launched its much awaited S-Cross premium crossover in India at a starting price of INR 8.34 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). With the car all set to roll out in the market the carmaker has now shifted its concentration towards its next venture, which is expected to be the 2015 facelift of its popular MPV Ertiga. Recently the car was spotted in Indonesia with completely new front end equipped with a new sporty body kit.

Country’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki has reportedly confirmed to launch a facelift of its popular MPV Ertiga. The 2015 facelift of the Ertiga MPV will make its debut at the 2015 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) on the 20th of August.

Country's largest car-maker Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) today reported a 19.5 per cent increase in total sales in November at 1,10,147 units as against 92,140 units in the same month last year. The company said its domestic sales increased by 17 per cent during the month to 1,00,024 units as against 85,510 units in November 2013.

Maruti-Suzuki's plan to set up a car plant in Gujarat as a fully-owned subsidiary of its Japanese parent has already been objected to by seven mutual fund houses holding stakes in the car company. A decision on the proposed plant is likely to be taken by Maruti after its forthcoming extraordinary general meeting which is likely to be held later this month. It needs to get the permission of at least 75 per cent of shareholders for investment in the plant.

Country's largest car maker Maruti Suzuki India expects royalty paid to parent Suzuki Motor Corp to come down starting with its upcoming compact SUV as its engineers enhance their role in the joint development of future products. The company, which is investing Rs 2,000 crore on a research and development facility, including a test track, at Rohtak in Haryana, will enter the SUV and MUV (multi-utility vehicle) segment "with full bandwidth" in the next few months.
