Hindustan Motors India: Manufacturing defect causes fire in Ambassador, Hindustan Motors asked to hand over new car

The apex consumer commission has asked Hindustan Motors Limited to hand over a new car to Maharashtra Irrigation Department as the earlier one got burnt due to a "manufacturing defect". National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC), presided by J M Malik, passed the order while dismissing the revision petition filed by Hindustan Motors Limited against an order of Maharashtra State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission.
