On October 30, the SC had rebuked the state government for not being able to arrest Verma over the Muzaffarpur shelter home case. Slamming the Nitish Kumar-led Bihar government, the apex court on an earlier occasion had said, "Just because she (Manju Verma) happens to be cabinet minister doesn't make her above the law. The whole thing is highly suspicious.
