The Naagin season 2 first episode begins with the story dictation of previous season in which they are telling about Raheja family, Shivanaya’s revenge and Shesha’s sacrifices.  The flashback tells everything about how Shivanaya trapped Raheja family and Ritik to avenge her parent’s death. In the last episode of season 1, it is shown that Shivanaya tells Ritik to take her to the hospital as she feels a lot of pain in her stomach. Doctor informs Ritik that Shivanaya gave birth to a baby girl. Ritik gets excited and happy and rushes towards Shivanaya who tells her that she is a naagin and that is the reason she gave birth to their child in just three months. The serial has taken a leap of 25 years, where Shivanaya’s daughter is getting older and she looks just like Shivanaya. Mouni Roy plays a double role in this season as the daughter named ‘Shivangi’. Shivanaya is worried as her daughter Shivangi doesn’t turn into a naagin.

In the next scene Shivangi is seen in the market buying some vegetables where she encounters a couple who misinterpret her as Shivanya. All of a sudden Shivanaya comes there and handles the situation. She yells at Shivangi and commands her not to talk to strangers anymore.  Shivanaya visits Shiv temple and asks Gurudev about her daughter’s fate.  Gurudev tells her that nobody knows the future of her daughter. Gurudev gives her an idea to save from becoming naagin. He asks her to get her married before the age of 25.  Shivanaya asks Shivangi about getting married but she ignores the conversation.
