Rani Chatterjee is an Indian actress who works predominantly in the Bhojpuri film industry. She made her debut in 2004 in Bhojpuri movie Sasura Bada Paisawala alongside actor Manoj Tiwari. The movie was a commercial success and became the highest-grossing Bhojpuri film at that time.
She starred in a good number of movies from 2005 to 2013, namely, Bandhan Tute Na (2005), Damaad Ji (2006), Sita (2007), Tohar Naikhe Kavno Jod Tu Bejod Badu Ho (2009), Devra Bada Satawela (2010), Diljale (2011), Chaila Babu (2011), Phool Banal Angar (2011), Ganga Yamuna Saraswati (2012), Dhadkela Tohre Name Karejwa (2012), Nagin (2013), and Rani No. 786 (2013). She won an award for her role in movie Nagin.
2014 TO 2015:
In 2014, Rani starred in Inspector Chandni, Rani Chali Sasural, Rowdy Rani, Sherni, Prem Deewani, Chandni, Ek Laila Teen Chaila, Dariya Dil, and Bhagjogani. In 2015, she starred in Dil Deewan Maane Na, Chhotki Dulhin, Dil Aur Deewar, Maai Ke Karz, Dulaara, Jaanam, Paayal, Durga, and Rani Banal Jwala.
2016 TO 2017:
Among the movies Rani starred in 2016 were Karz, Shiv Rakshak, Waqalat, Gharwali Baharwali, Main Rani Himmat Wali, Jodi No 1, Parshasan, Real Indian Mother, Devra Ishaqbaaz, and Love aur Rajniti 2. In 2017, she starred in Rangbaaj and Icchadhaari, and also won the Best Actress award at the Dadasaheb Phalke Foundation.
Rani was a contestant on reality television show Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 10 in 2019 but failed to win.
Rani Chatterjee was born on November 3, 1989 in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh as Sahiba Sheikh, and she has a brother and a sister. She belongs to a Muslim family and she got the name Rani while shooting for her first film in which she had to touch her head to the idol of a Hindu deity.
