Leading Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh was born on July 6, 1985, in Mumbai, to Jagjit Singh Bhavnani and Anju Bhavnani. Ranveer Singh's full name is Ranveer Singh Bhavnani. The popular actor studied at HR College of Commerce and Economics in Mumbai. He pursued a Bachelor's degree in Arts at Indiana University Bloomington, USA, where he participated in drama clubs. Before Ranveer Singh became an actor, he worked as a copywriter in prestigious ad agencies like O&M and JWT, and later became an assistant director in the movies. Auditioning for a lead role as an actor, Ranveer Singh made his Bollywood debut with Yash Raj Films' Band Baaja Baaraat (2010) as a hero opposite Anushka Sharma, a film that won him the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. Ranveer Singh's second film was YRF's Ladies vs Ricky Bahl (2011). He was appreciated in his third Lootera (2013) opposite Sonakshi Sinha. But it was in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Goliyon Ki Raasleela - Ram Leela (2013) that he shone. It was also his first film with Deepika Padukone.
Ranveer Singh was later seen in films like YRF's Gunday and Kill Dil in 2014, which did average business, and in a cameo in Finding Fanny. Ranveer Singh was yet again highly appreciated in Dil Dhadakne Do and Bajirao Mastani, his 2015 films that fetched him awards for Best Actor. In 2016, he was seen in ad film Ranveer Ching Returns, and YRF's Befikre romcom. Ranveer Singh has been allegedly dating Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone, with whom he has starred in three films until now - Goliyon Ki Rasleela - Ramleela, Bajirao Mastani and the forthcoming film Padmavati (apart from the cameo in Finding Fanny). Post which, Ranveer Singh will team with his Dil Dhadakne Do director Zoya Akhtar for a film on Indian street rappers, titled Gully Boyz. He has been seen in cute ad films for a brand alongside actress Alia Bhatt, who also stars in Gully Boyz.
