Rohan Mehra

Rohan Mehra is an Indian actor and former model, famously known for his works in television and movies. He rose to popularity for portraying the role of Naksh Singhaniya in the Star Plus's popular daily soap Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. He has also been seen in the flick Uvaa as well as he portrayed the role of Kartik in the movie Sixteen. For his role in the show Ye Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, he has won the Star Parivaar Award of 2015 under the category of Favourite Naya Sadasya and he also won the Kalakar Awards for Best Debut Male in 2015. Currently, he is seen as one of the celebrity contestants in Colors TV's popular show Bigg Boss Season 10.

Rohan Mehra was born on 8 April 1987 in Amritsar, India. He has completed his schooling from St George's College Mussoorie and did his graduation from Hans Raj College, Delhi. He was a national level table tennis player in his school days and has won many trophies and medals. He is a popular commercial model and a successful television actor who has featured in advertisements of Reebok, Hero Cycles, Honda, Priyagold Biscuits, Samsung, BlackBerry etc.
If not an actor, he would have been working in his father's business in Amritsar.

Much like his character in the famous TV show, he is a pampered child in real life too. His parents are like his friends and belong to a jovial family. But unlike his onscreen character, he is closer to his father. His father took the strong step of shifting base to Mumbai so that Rohan could concentrate on his work and passion. He then started his career and got a chance to play the character of Naksh Singhaniya in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. But currently, his character is shown away from home as he has participated in BB10. The show stars Hina Khan, Vishal Singh and Shivangi Joshi in the lead roles. Apart from daily soaps, he has also acted in movies like Sixteen and Uvaa. In the movie Uvaa, he was seen playing a lover boy named Anil Sharma in the film. The film had a stellar star cast comprising of Sanjay Mishra, Om Puri, Rajit Kapoor, Jimmy Sheirgill, Sangram Singh among others. The movie was about four school friends who chance upon a rape victim and how they fight against the influential peple to provide justice to the girl. The movie failed to make an impact on the box office.

Rohan is now seen in Colors' famous reality show Bigg Boss season 10. The show is hosted by Salman Khan. In the four weeks, Rohan has drawn a strong attention because of his play in the series. As one of the celebrity contestants, he has had spars with the fellow contestants and managed to win tasks for his team. His on screen father, Karan Mehra is also a fellow contestant and the two share a strong comoraderie which is quite visible.

It is reported that Rohan Mehra is dating his YRKKH co-star Kanchi Singh. Before entering into Bigg Boss' house, he admitted his relationship and said, "We cannot avoid controversies, they are bound to happen. And it is natural also. But I am already in a relationship. I'm dating my Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai co-star Kanchi Singh and I am very clear in my mind about it. I am not looking for love inside the house".
