Ruby Rose Langenheim is an Australian model, actor, DJ and recording artist. She was born on March 20 1986. She is better known as Ruby Rose. She is the well known face of Maybelline New York in Australia and came became rather famous with her stint in the television as a recurring cast in the third and fourth season of Orange is the New Black. She was born as Katia Langenheim in Melbourne to single mother. She is the granddaughter of Alec Campbell, the last surviving Australian Battle of Gallipoli soldier. Lionel Rose, the famous Australian Boxer is her god father. Ruby Rose had a difficult childhood. Confused about her gender, she would constantly be depressed till she came out as a Lesbian at a young age of 12. It wasnt easy even then and she had to constantly face ridicule. For a lot many years she wanted to get a sex change operation but eventually decided against it. It was partly because of her sexual orientation that modellong appealed to her. She was introduced to androgyny with modeling and was happy to be gender neutral. She started her career and rose to fame when she participated in Girlfriend model search in 2002 where she came second.
