Shaktimaan, whose left hind leg was amputated after being allegedly attacked by BJP legislator Ganesh Joshi last month, passed away on April 20 despite all efforts to save and rehabilitate the animal.

As of now, the exact reason behind his death has not been revealed. But sources claim, that he succumbed to the shocks of prosthetic leg which was recently attached to his body by US based artificial limb expert Dr Tim Mahoney.

The decision to amputate the hind left leg of Shaktimaan was taken by district veterinary officers as the horse was unable to stand up even after an operation by a group of 10 doctors that lasted for four and a half hours.
