Shobana

Indian actress and dancer Shobana, also known as Shobana Chandrakumar Pillai or Shobhana, was born on 21 March, 1970, in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The 47-year-old is an acclaimed Malayalam actress, dancer-choreographer and Mridangam player. Bharata Natyam is her form of dance and she excels in it. Shobana was awarded the Padma Shri in 2006 by the Government of India for her contribution to classical dance. The Government of Kerala, her state, has also honoured her with the Kala Ratna Award.

Shobana is single and rumours of her marriage have been going around for many years now. On June 15, rumours again surfaced about Shobana having married her boyfriend. More details are awaited. The actress has neither confirmed nor denied the news of her wedding. Shobana is mostly known for her work in South Indian films.
