Dana, for example, means that to give is considered a primal duty of all Hindus. The ancient Indian dharmas were also known as sanatana dharmas—specifically Hinduism— which means sustainable religious conduct.

Turban Day at Columbia University Educates Students on Sikhism

In an effort to educate students about Sikh culture, beliefs and its history, SEWA, a South Asian student organization at Columbia University (CU), focused on raising awareness of Sikh values, such as peace, equality, social justice and sewa (selfless service), held its annual flagship event Sikh Turban Day on April 10.
