Tata Bolt Leads at the Indian Rally Championship as its ZERO CAR

Tata Motors’ premium hatchback Bolt this year received a special position in the 2015 Indian Rally Championship as the ZERO Car. The Bolt was seen leading the pack of at this year’s championship reliving the memory of the carmaker’s association with the event. Back in early 2000s it was Tata’s much famed Indica that took the position of Zero and Double Zero in the Championship.

Tata Motors recently launched country’s cheapest automatic car GenX Nano Easy Shift in India at an introductory price range of INR 1.99 – 2.89 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The car came with some major cosmetic changes making it much more appealing to the masses. This is the second car launched by Tata Motors after ambitious premium hatchback Bolt, and from what we have heard Tata is expected to launch two new cars this fiscal apart from these two.

The Nano was one of the most ambitions cars for Tata Motors. Tata Motors, the homegrown automaker has finally unveiled the new Nano GenX via its official social media pages. Named the Nano GenX Easy Shift, the Nano GenX with AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) will be the cheapest automatic car in the country. The company is yet to announce the official launch date and price of the new Nano AMT, but judging by the latest developments it will happen pretty soon with a price tag of around INR 2.7 lakh.

Tata Motors Sales March 2015: Tata Motors reports 3% increase in vehicle sales in India

Tata Motors today reported 3 per cent rise in total sales at 52,479 vehicles in March compared with 51,184 units in the same period last year. Domestic sales of Tata Motors' commercial and passenger vehicles grew by 2 per cent at 47,044 units against 45,996 units in March 2014, Tata Motors said in a BSE filing. Sales of passenger vehicles in the domestic market in March stood at 15,039 units, up 19 per cent, from 12,640 units in March 2014.

Tata Motors India: Tata Motors' shares go down ahead of rights issue meeting for INR 7500 crore

Shares of Tata Motors today slipped over three per cent today ahead of its board meeting on INR 7,500-crore proposed rights issue. A meeting of the board of directors of the company would be held tomorrow to consider and approve details of the proposed INR 7,500 crore rights issue, including fixing the issue price. Shares of the company opened on at INR 551.00, then lost further ground and slipped 4.15 per cent to touch an intra-day low of INR 528.50. The stock, however, recovered some lost ground and ended trading at INR 532.90, down 3.27 per cent on the BSE.

Tata Cars India: Tata Motors to offer Keyless Start & Stop system in cars from 2016

Homegrown auto major Tata Motors has announced its plan to offer keyless start and stop system to almost its entire line-up in India from 2016. That means starting next year most of the Tata cars will come an automatic start/stop ignition system. The technology which is called ‘Passive Entry Passive Start System,’ is primarily the same system that you find in high-end German cars like Mercedes, BMW, Volkswagen and Audi.  The system is developed by Marquardt a leading component supplier who is known for making intelligent driver authorization systems and anti-theft security systems found in all the above German cars.

Tata Motors India: Tata Motors gets shareholders nod for INR 7,500 crore rights issue, plans to develop newer vehicles in next 3 years

Tata Motors shareholders have approved a proposal to raise INR 7,500 crore via rights issue. In a filing to the BSE, the company said 93.97 per cent of the shareholders voted in favour of the proposal through a postal ballot. The Mumbai-based company intends to utilise INR 7,500 crore to fund various activities, including introduction of more than 100 new commercial vehicles over next three years and passenger vehicles on new modular platform from FY 2016-17.
